Improving Biocompatibility of Polyurethanes Apply in Medicine Using Oxygen Plasma and Its Negative Effect on Increased Bacterial Adhesion

Evaluation of the adhesion of the bacteria S. aureus DSM 4910 and S. epidermidis DSM 28319 to unmodified and modified polyurethane using the serial dilution method. Adhesion was assessed in PBS buffer (smooth charts) and TSB growth medium (dot pattern) after 30, 60, and 240 mins of incubation. Statistically significant differences between the unmodified and modified surfaces are marked with lines.
