Journal of Applied Mathematics indexed in Web of Science’s ESCI

Journal of Applied Mathematics is now indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), meaning that articles will soon be discoverable in Web of Science.

This development means increased visibility and profile for both the journal and the articles it publishes. In addition, ESCI indexing is a necessary precursor to a journal being accepted into Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) with an Impact Factor and further increasing the journal’s exposure to global research audiences.

The inclusion of Journal of Applied Mathematics in Web of Science is a testament to its high publication standards and, of course, the excellent contributions of our authors, editors and reviewers.

In addition to Web of Science, Journal of Applied Mathematics is indexed in Scopus, Mathematical Reviews (MathSciNet), Zentralblatt MATH Database (zbMath) and The Electronic Library of Mathematics (EMIS ELibM). The journal has a current acceptance rate of 15% and the average time from submission to final decision is 42 days.

The journal’s new Chief Editor, Professor Theodore Simos of Ulyanovsk State Technical University, will be instrumental in shaping the editorial direction of Journal of Applied Mathematics. This is an incredibly exciting time to be involved with the journal, which Professor Simos outlines here in his strategic vision for Journal of Applied Mathematics:

“As Chief Editor of Journal of Applied Mathematics, I plan to extend the Editorial Board of the journal by inviting internationally recognized scientists to become Academic Editors. Another goal is to encourage the submission of Special Issue proposals from leading researchers in the field. Journal of Applied Mathematics aims to publish high-quality papers in all areas of applied mathematics with applications in many interesting areas of science and technology, such as medicine, finance, biology and computer science. We hope this will ensure that the journal is considered for inclusion in other key databases, including Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), as soon as possible.”
