May 31st marks World No Tobacco Day, an annual celebration founded by the World Health Organization. Each year, the event covers a broad scope of topics, including public awareness about the dangers of tobacco and what WHO is doing to fight the tobacco epidemic.
This year, the theme ‘commit to quit’ aims to support over 100 million people worldwide to give up tobacco. The initiative is not limited to one day this time, but a year-long campaign to equip tobacco users with the tools and digital solutions required to successfully quit.
To support World No Tobacco Day and the commitment to quit, we are highlighting some of our latest articles from the Journal of Smoking Cessation.
Introducing Journal of Smoking Cessation
Journal of Smoking Cessation is the world’s only publication devoted exclusively to smoking cessation treatment. The journal specifically targets the ‘grass-roots’ level of smoking cessation, publishing research with practical implications for those assisting smokers to quit.
The journal is open access and peer reviewed, led by an international Editorial Board with extensive experience in the field of smoking cessation.
