We are currently looking for a Visual Designer to join our Brand Marketing team in London.<br />


The candidate will be responsible for the creation/management of digital assets and supporting the Journal Development team with various design requests. Tasks range from advertisement, infographics, social media imagery, journal branding, website/email assets and video production.

Reporting to the Senior Visual Designer, the applicant will assist in adapting branded materials and also contribute to the creation of templated designs. The role will involve collaborating with the Brand and Content Marketing team, closely working to briefing and inputting ideas when necessary. The majority of the assets are produced in Illustrator, so it’s vital to possess a skillset that excels in this area. The work is very varied and priorities can change imminently, so it’s essential that the applicant can switch efficiently between different tasks at short notice. A disciplined approach to file management and storage is also a requirement for this role. A competent level of experience with video editing is required with knowledge of 2D animation being advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design and production of digital assets
  • Expansion of our iconography tool kit
  • Sourcing stock photography whilst maintaining consistency
  • Video editing of webinar sessions and interviews
  • Refinement of company presentations and reports
  • Creation of office templates and guidebooks
  • Liaising with suppliers (ie: merchandisers and printers)

Requirements

A suitable candidate will ideally have:

  • At least 3 year’s experience in visual/graphic design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite 2021 with a particular emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Experience in video editing (After Effects or Premiere) desirable
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Powerpoint, Word, Sharepoint)
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle various projects on request
  • Excellent file keeping and folder management
  • Able to work cooperatively with various departments / teams
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative, friendly and reliable
  • Some knowledge of print production would beneficial
