The kinematic parameter versus (a) and versus Sérsic (b). Parameter , taken from Emsellem et al. [24], can be used as a discriminator between oblate and triaxial nature of the galaxies, within the apertures used in the measurements. In this plot obtained within one effective radius of the galaxy is used. The parameters and the dust-corrected values are taken from Laurikainen et al. [27].
