A prepared below the knee lower extremity specimen. Tissue was resected from the proximal shafts of the tibia, fibula, and AT. A cable puller was attached to the AT for tendon load application. Bismuth alloy material was used to create a mounting fixture for the proximal shafts of the tibia and fibula for rigid fixation to the testing platform. The fixture reference point was located at the center of the upper mounting fixture.
