Because of a change in the diameter of the tensile steel bars, beams have begun to crack and have been damaged: (a) cracks begin to appear in the beam (Pcrack = 8 kN), 2ϕ18; (b) cracks begin to appear in the beam (Pcrack = 10 kN), 2ϕ28; (c) beam beginning to show signs of damage (Pmax = 90 kN), 2ϕ18; (d) beam beginning to show signs of damage (Pmax = 130 kN), 2ϕ28.
