Effects of Na₂SeO₃ on HBx-related hepatotoxicity. (a) HL7702 cells were transduced with leti-HBx or leti-NC as empty control for 24 hr, and then were treated with 50 mM D-GalN, along with Na₂SeO₃ at certain dose (hi: 5 μM; lo: 500 nM) for another 6 hr, and then the cell viability was monitored by MTT assay. (b) The histogram presents the statistical values of apoptosis rate. (c) HL7702 cells were treated with 50 mM D-GalN, along with Na₂SeO₃ at 500 nM for 6 hr, and then the cells were harvested and the cIAPs levels were determined by western blotting assay.
