Calculated Event Rates for Axion Detection via Atomic and Nuclear Processes

In both cases, in the axion vertex, we encounter the coupling given by Equation (17), while in the EM vertex in (b), we have the usual interaction involving the nuclear magnetic moment. , , and are the initial nucleon, axion, and photon 4-momenta, respectively. In both cases of (a) and (b), the output signal energies are the same, 5.5 MeV.
