L is the total length of pipe; Lc is the length of corroded section of pipe; M is the total mass of pipe before it was corroded; Dc is the average outer diameter of corroded section of pipe; Hc is the average thickness of corroded pipe; is the maximum tension force recorded during the test; and are yield and ultimate strength of the corroded pipe.
