Study design flow chart. Proteins and pathways associated with depression and MI were identified from the DAVID database, and mRNA and proteins were measured by RT–qPCR and Western blotting. The results of in vivo experiments were consistent with the bioinformatics prediction results. The decline of semen quality in a rat model of depression was associated with the PI3K/Akt/FOXO1 signaling pathway.
