Gene therapy improved CCSM cell function. (a) Expressions of YAP1 and TAZ were confirmed in different treatments using immunochemistry, and lower α-SMA expression and a higher collagen-1 level were observed in the penile tissues in the DMED groups compared with those in the NC rats. However, 2 weeks of treatment with lenti-shYAP1 or Ad-myocardin prominently reversed these changes. Original magnification: 200x.
