Circulating Factor Seven Activating Protease (FSAP) in the Hyperacute Phase of Stroke
Figure 3
Effect of tPA on FSAP activity measurements in vitro: Plasma anticoagulated with citrate, hirudin, or EDTA was incubated with tPA (2 μg/ml and 20 μg/ml) at 37°C for 60 minutes. Histones (20 μg/ml) were used as a positive control. FSAP activity (measured by the ability of FSAP to activate pro-uPA) and FSAP-AP complex levels were measured. The bars represent the mean value, and the error bars represent the standard deviation of a minimum of 6 measurements. One-way repeated measure ANOVA showed significant differences among the conditions (control, tPA2 μg/ml, tPA 20 μg/ml, and histones). Pairwise paired -tests were used to compare tPA 2 μg/ml, tPA 20 μg/ml, and histones to control. Significant values were adjusted by the Bonferroni multiple testing correction method. .
