Vitamin premix and mineral premix were purchased from Guangzhou Liankun Biotechnology Company and its inositol was removed. ¹V-mix (mg/kg of diet) contained: VA 10,000 IU, VB1 30, VB2 60, VC 800, pyridoxine HCl 20, VB12 0.1, biotin 2.5, VD3 2,000 IU, VE 160 IU, menadione 40, folic acid 10, inositol 100, niacin 200, and calcium pantothenate 100. ²Mineral mix (g/kg of diet) contained: FeC₆H₅O₇·5H₂O 0.181, MgSO₄·7H₂O 1.09, KH₂PO₄ 0.932, NaH₂PO₄·2H₂O 0.432, AlCl₃·6H₂O 0.051, ZnCl₂ 0.08, CuSO₄·5H₂O 0.063, MnSO₄·H₂O 0.031, KI 0.028, CoCl₂·6H₂O 0.006, and NaSeO₃·3H₂O 0.0008.
