Photomicrographs exposed the effect of the Clinostomum parasite on O. niloticus. All sections of (a–d) are highlighted with the intense gathering of inflammatory cells (arrows) enclosed Clinostomum cyst. In the tissue section of smooth muscles of the buccal cavity (c), macrophage (arrow) and eosinophil (arrowhead) were distinguished. Also, in section (d), degenerative changes are spotted in the muscle fiber’s structure (arrowhead).
