Global production of farmed striped catfish, P. hypophthalmus 2010–2018. Intensification of production and use of technology, high-quality seeds produced from hatcheries, commercial diets, and processing of the product using global quality control systems commercialized the industry. Global annual production was averaging 2.4 million tonnes from China, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Lao PDR, Vietnam, and Bangladesh. A large proportion of this came from Vietnam, with many farmers utilizing the large Mekong Delta of Vietnam. Adopted from Ouma and Barasa [3].
