(a) Representative light and (b) fluorescent microscopic images of cell culture, before and after 1 day and 3 days of virus infection. Expression of recombinant pseudorabies-viral troponeon transgenes appeared on high level in cultured adult dog ventricular myocytes. The isolation of adult dog left ventricular myocytes yielded more than 80% living cells. After three days the troponeon expression and the physiological features of survival myocytes was appropriate for the physiological studies.
