Assessment of Free Radical Scavenging Potential and Oxidative DNA Damage Preventive Activity of Trachyspermum ammi L. (Carom) and Foeniculum vulgare Mill. (Fennel) Seed Extracts

Ferric reducing antioxidant power of Foeniculum vulgare Mill. seed extracts (FASE: fennel aqueous seed extract, FMSE: fennel methanolic seed extract, and FAcSE: fennel acetonic seed extract) compared with BHT (Butylated hydroxytoluene) as standard antioxidant at different concentrations (0.2–1 mg/mL) in terms of FRAP value expressed in µmol/L. Statistical significance was determined using Student’s t-test. P value < 0.05 was considered as significant ( = significant and = highly significant).
