The photographs were taken at (a) 1 week and (b) and (c) 2 weeks after injection. (a) At 1 week after injection, more irradiated hydrogel remained and it was more glutinous than the nonirradiated hydrogel. (b) At 2 weeks after injection, the nonirradiated hydrogel had almost disappeared whereas the irradiated hydrogel maintained almost the same volume. (c) The shape of the irradiated hydrogel was maintained and it did not fall apart even after elevation with forceps.
