Accuracy of Cardiac Output by Nine Different Pulse Contour Algorithms in Cardiac Surgery Patients: A Comparison with Transpulmonary Thermodilution

Illustration of Study Design. After induction of anesthesia, calibration of nine different pulse contour algorithms (X1–X9) was carried out with esophageal Doppler (ED). Data collection of cardiac output by transpulmonary thermodilution () and by nine pulse contour algorithms () was performed before, during, and after passive leg raising (PLR). Following PLR, measurements of and before and after cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) were repeated every 10 min.
