Bu-Zhong-Yi-Qi Decoction, the Water Extract of Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine, Enhances Cisplatin Cytotoxicity in A549/DDP Cells through Induction of Apoptosis and Autophagy

<div>Effects of BZYQD on the cytotoxicity induced by cisplatin. A549/DDP cells were initially pretreated with 100, 250, and 500 <i>μ</i>g/ml BZYQD (the approximate IC<sub>5</sub>, IC<sub>10</sub>, and IC<sub>20</sub> of drug exposure concentrations) for 2 h. Then cisplatin (0, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 <i>μ</i>g/ml) was added for another 24 h. The cell viability was determined by the Cell Counting Kit. Each data point represents the mean ± SD of results from four individual measurements. BZYQD: Bu-Zhong-Yi-Qi decoction.</div>
