Effect of STG on expression of HMGCR and SREBP-2 in rat fed a HC diet. Relative mRNA expression (a-b) and protein expression (c-d) of HMGCR and SREBP-2 were analyzed after STG or simvastatin treatment for 8 weeks. The independent experiment was repeated three times. SREBP-2 (N), nuclear SREBP-2. P < 0.05, P < 0.01 versus control group; P < 0.01 versus HC group; P > 0.05 versus HSTG group. All data were shown as mean ± SD.
