PTEN Inhibits Inflammatory Bone Loss in Ligature-Induced Periodontitis via IL1 and TNF-<i>α</i>

<div>Ligature-induced periodontitis enhanced bone erosion but not bone formation. Levels of expression of mRNA for (a) osteoclast TRAP and (b) cathepsin K in tissue extracted from periodontal tissue obtained on day 10 from control and ligature mice. Data were normalized for GAPDH expression.
