PTEN Inhibits Inflammatory Bone Loss in Ligature-Induced Periodontitis via IL1 and TNF-α

PTEN could positively regulate inflammatory factors. PTEN affects the expression of inflammatory factors. RAW264.7 cells were treated with control siRNA (MOCK) and siPTEN (a) or transfected with pcDNA3.1 (MOCK) and pcDNA3.1-PTEN plasmids (PTEN overexpression; PTEN OE) (b) for 48 h and used to measure PTEN, IL1, IL6, and TNF-α mRNA levels by quantitative real-time PCR. The results showed that overexpression of PTEN inhibits inflammatory factors, while knockdown of PTEN promotes inflammatory factors (IL1, IL6, and TNF-α).
