Tanshinone IIA Alleviates CCL2-Induced Leaning memory and Cognition Impairment in Rats: A Potential Therapeutic Approach for HIV-Associated Neurocognitive Disorder

Figure 4

Effect of Tanshinone IIA on the recognition memory in CCL2-induced cognition deficits rats detected by a novel object recognition test. (a) Discrimination index of each group of rats. As is shown, Tan IIA groups (Tan IIA(L): 25 mg/kg, Tan IIA(M): 50 mg/kg; Tan IIA(H): 75 mg/kg) obviously increased the discrimination index of cognition deficits rats. (b) The percentage of the time explored familiar and novel object. Tan IIA treatment groups spent more time to explore the novel object when compared to the model group. The data are expressed as mean ± SEM. The analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA (n = 8, versus model, versus sham).
