Effect of sodium chloride (NaCl) on P. aeruginosa strain RBS (a) growth, (b) motility, and (c) biofilm formation. Various concentrations of NaCl ranging from 0 to 1 M were tested to monitor its effect on growth and biofilm formation. For motility assays, NaCl was added at a concentration ranging from 0 to 0.7 M in solid growth medium. The data of motility assays are expressed as plate coverage percentage. For biofilm formation, OD531 was normalized to biomass OD600. Values are expressed as . , , , and vs. control.
