Abscisic Acid, Stress, and Ripening (TtASR1) Gene as a Functional Marker for Salt Tolerance in Durum Wheat

TtASR1 protein protects LDH activity from heat stress in vitro. LDH solutions were kept on heated at 43°C for the specified time in the absence or the presence of TtASR1 purified protein. A small aliquot was taken at each of several time points, and LD H activity was measured. Data are presented as relative activity (%) respective to the LDH activity registered before treatment. Three independent assays have been performed and standard errors are included. The values are the mean ± SE from three samples. Significant differences are indicated as and as , evaluated with Student’s t-test.
