Abscisic Acid, Stress, and Ripening (<i>Tt</i>ASR1) Gene as a Functional Marker for Salt Tolerance in Durum Wheat

<div>TtASR1 protein protects LDH activity from heat stress <i>in vitro</i>. LDH solutions were kept on heated at 43°C for the specified time in the absence or the presence of TtASR1 purified protein. A small aliquot was taken at each of several time points, and LD H activity was measured. Data are presented as relative activity (%) respective to the LDH activity registered before treatment. Three independent assays have been performed and standard errors are included. The values are the mean ± SE from three samples.
