Overexpression of MicroRNA-16 Alleviates Atherosclerosis by Inhibition of Inflammatory Pathways

<div>Effects of miR-16 on inflammatory cytokine secretion. MiR-16 was overexpressed via a single tail vein injection of cholesterol-modified agomiR-16 into ApoE-/- mice. The levels of IL-6, TNF-<i>α</i>, MCP-1, IL-1<i>β</i>, IL-10, and TGF-<i>β</i> were measured by the ELISA method.
