PCB118 Induces Inflammation of Islet Beta Cells via Activating ROS-NLRP3 Inflammasome Signaling

PCB118 activated NLRP3 inflammasome signaling in mouse islet β-TC-6 cells. The expression of NLRP3 was increased in the PCB118-treated cells, procaspase-1 and pro-IL-1β were cleaved into active caspase-1 and IL-1β, and the expression of caspase-1 and IL-1β increased significantly in the PCB118 groups in a dose-dependent manner (a–f). .
