The anti-IAV activity of emodin and its analogs was detected by a plaque inhibition assay. After infection with IAV (PR8, ), MDCK cells were treated with DMSO (<0.5%), ribavirin (25 μg/mL), and emodin or its analogs (25, 12.5, 6.25, and 3.125 μg/mL), respectively. The incubation time was 48 h. Data shown were the of three independent experiments. vs. DMSO-treated group.
