Influence of emodin on FAS activity, free fatty acid, and cellular ATP levels. The treatments were the same as mentioned in Figure 2. After 48 h, relative FAS activity was measured spectrophotometically by monitoring the oxidation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate at 340 nm (a). The levels of free fatty acid and ATP in A549 were also measured by the commercial kits (b, c).
