Nanohydroxyapatite-Blasted Bioactive Surface Drives Shear-Stressed Endothelial Cell Growth and Angiogenesis

Both Ti-related surfaces with DAE or HAnano® promote higher activity of MMP2 enzyme. The ECM remodeling was evaluated by checking the activities of MMPs in response to titanium-enriched media indirectly obtained by 2 different surfaces DAE (w/DAE) and nanohydroxyapatite-blasted titanium surface (HAnano®) applying zymography technology (a). MMP2 activity showed different activities profiles, mainly observed higher in response to both treatments when compared to Ctrl (b–d). Differences were considered significant when , represented by when compared with the Ctrl group. MMP: matrix metalloproteinase.
