HDAC3 was upregulated in HG-treated RGCs, and thus, HDAC3 inhibition would promote cell viability, inhibit apoptosis, alleviate inflammation, and moderate oxidative stress. NLRP3 inflammasome activation played a key role in neurodegeneration in DR, and it could be blocked by HDAC3 inhibition.
