An Estrogen Model: The Relationship between Body Mass Index, Menopausal Status, Estrogen Replacement Therapy, and Breast Cancer Risk

The model’s prediction of the relative risk of breast cancer associated with BMI in premenopausal women is compared to the relative risks reported in three studies [1618]. All relative risks are rescaled to use a BMI of 23 as the reference value. Error bars represent 95% confidence intervals and are missing from data points used as reference values in the original studies.
