The model’s prediction of the relative risk of breast cancer associated with BMI in premenopausal women is compared to the relative risks reported in three studies [16–18]. All relative risks are rescaled to use a BMI of 23 as the reference value. Error bars represent 95% confidence intervals and are missing from data points used as reference values in the original studies.
