Examples of irregular nodules (IN). (a, b) Sagittal T2-weighted imaging and gadolinium-enhanced sagittal T1-weighted imaging of a 55-year-old male patient with rectal cancer (PT3N1) presented an irregular nodule (big white arrow) with a lobulated appearance behind the upper rectum. Meanwhile, the multiple vessels attached to the nodules showed irregular dilation and their signal on enhanced sagittal T1-weighted imaging showed reduction compared to the adjacent normal vessels.
