Retrospective immunostaining of the first renal biopsy tissue revealed high numbers of IgG4-positive plasma cells in the interstitium ((a), ). Many CD79a-positive B cells ((b), ), CD45RO-positive T cells ((c), ), and alpha-SMA-positive activated fibroblasts were also observed in the interstitium ((d), ). Large numbers of CD31-positive PTC ((e), ) and few D2-40-positive lymphatic vessels ((f), ) were identified.
