Therapeutic Efficacy of Alpha-Lipoic Acid against Acute Myocardial Infarction and Chronic Left Ventricular Remodeling in Mice

<div><i>α</i>-Lipoic acid (ALA) was administered daily for 7 d prior to a reperfused, 45-minute coronary occlusion. Two doses were examined: 15 and 75 mg/kg·day.
