GLA inhibited the degradation of aggrecan and collagen II induced by IL-1β. Primary human OA chondrocytes were incubated with different concentrations of GLA (0, 5, 10, and 20 μM) for 2 h and then stimulated with IL-1β (10 ng/ml) for 24 h.
