Curcumin inhibited neuroinflammatory response in cerebral ischemia of rat through activating PPARγ. Rats were injected (i.p.) with curcumin and GW9662 for continuous 3 days. One hour after the last injections, the rats were subjected to MCAO for 2 h and reperfused for 24 h. And the cortex was isolated for detection of inflammatory mediators. (a) ELISA assay of IL-1β.
