EEP (a) and WEP (b) suppressed LPS plus IFN--induced nitrite production in RAW264.7 cells. RAW264.7 cells were incubated for 24 h with LPS (1 g/mL) plus IFN- (25 U/mL) in the presence or absence of indicated concentrations of vitamin C (500 µM), EEP, or WEP. Accumulated nitrite in the culture medium was determined by the Griess reaction. The values are means ± SEM and are representative of three independent experiments with similar results. Bars marked with different letters are significantly different at as determined by one-way ANOVA.
