The effects of GREE on onset and duration of sleep in pentobarbital-treated mice. Mice were food deprived for 24 h prior to the experiment. Pentobarbital (42 mg/kg, i.p) was injected to mice following injection of muscimol or GREE. The sleep latency time (a) and total sleeping time (b) were recorded. Each column represents the mean with S.E.M. ( = 12–14). The significance of the effects of the compounds was assessed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Where there was significant variability, the individual values were compared using Holm-Sidak test. , , compared with that of the control.
