A Bio-Guided Fractionation to Assess the Inhibitory Activity of Calendula officinalis L. on the NF-κB Driven Transcription in Human Gastric Epithelial Cells

Bio-guided fractionation of CH2Cl2 extract and IC50 of fractions on the NF-B driven transcription. AGS cells were transiently transfected with NF-B-luc plasmid and treated with TNF- in the presence of fractions (2.5–20 g/mL) for 24 h. NF-B driven transcription was proportional to luciferase signal measured. The inhibitory activity of fractions was considered significant if 50 g/mL.
