Effect of PCE on PA-induced toxicity in PC12 cells. (a) PC12 cells were treated with PA (0.4 mM) for the indicated times. (b) Cells were incubated in media containing various concentrations of PCE (1, 10, 30, 50, and 100 μg/ml) for 24 h. (c) Cells were preincubated with 1–100 μg/ml PCE for 6 h, followed by exposure to 0.4 mM PA for 24 h. Cell viability was determined by MTT assay. The results represent the mean ± SEM from triplicate experiments and were normalized to control cells. as compared with control. as compared with PA.
