Curcumin inhibited the expression of α-SMA and increased E-cadherin in TGF-β1-induced IEC-6 cells. (a) IEC-6 cells were incubated with TGF-β1 for induction of EMT. (b, c) After stimulation by TGF-β1 (10 ng/mL), E-cadherin, and α-SMA of IEC-6 cells mRNA expressions were analyzed by RT-PCR. (d) After stimulation by TGF-β1 (10 ng/mL), protein expression of E-cadherin and α-SMA in IEC-6 cells were analyzed by Western blotting. Significance: compared with TGF-β1 group.
