Acupuncture Improved Neurological Recovery after Traumatic Brain Injury by Activating BDNF/TrkB Pathway

The expression of BDNF and phosphorylated TrkB had been transiently enhanced after TBI. Combined stimulation at the acupoint of Baihui, Renzhong, Hegu, and Zusanli was treated after TBI (once daily for 14 days). The level of BDNF at 0 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, and 48 h after TBI was examined by ELISA kit (a).
