Astragaloside Inhibits Hepatic Fibrosis by Modulation of TGF-<i>β</i>1/Smad Signaling Pathway

<div>Astragaloside blocks the activation of HSC induced by TGF-<i>β</i>1. (a) By assay of ELISA, AST was found to decrease the expression of <i>α</i>-SMA. The expression of <i>α</i>-SMA was also assessed by real-time PCR (b) and western blot (c), normalized by <i>β</i>-actin. AST: astragalosides; LY-364947: TGF-<i>β</i> receptor 1 inhibitor.
