Green Tea Seed Isolated Saponins Exerts Antibacterial Effects against Various Strains of Gram Positive and Gram Negative Bacteria, a Comprehensive Study In Vitro and In Vivo

Antibacterial activities of saponin fraction Fr3 against E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and five serotypes of Salmonella enterica. The antibacterial activities were determined by allowing the bacteria to grow in the presence of various concentrations of saponin mixture using 96-well microtiter plate and then checking OD660 with spectrophotometer. Data are expressed as means of experiments in triplicate ± SEM. Data are statistically significant at P < 0.05.
