(a) A real-time RT-PCR assay was performed in order to measure the effect of Bupleuri Radix, Scutellariae Radix, and their 1:1 mixture on mRNA expressions of Cebpa and Pparg. (b) A western blot assay was performed in order to measure the effect of Bupleuri Radix, Scutellariae Radix, and their 1:1 mixture on protein expressions of C/EBPα, PPARγ, and (c) p-AMPKα. Gapdh mRNA was analyzed as an internal control for Real-Time RT-PCR assays. Experiments were repeated at least three times. Data represented are the relative expression.
