Notes: The protein levels of AQP1, AQP4, AQP5, Muc5AC, and Muc5B in lung tissues were determined by using western blotting and the bands were subjected to density quantitation. The relative protein levels to β-actin were calculated and expressed in arbitrary units. The results were from representative rat randomly selected from each group (n=5 rats per group). For band relative protein level calculation, data was expressed as mean ± SD and analyzed with one-way ANOVA and LSD tests or Dunnett T3 test. < 0.01 for Ctl versus other three groups in AQP1, AQP4, and AQP5; < 0.05 for CDSCOPD versus MZPCOPD in AQP4 and AQP5; ##P < 0.01 and #P < 0.05 for protein Muc5AC when compared with Ctl group.
