The effect of SJA on cell membrane permeability. Candida cells (10⁷ cells/ml) were cultured in the presence of 5 μM calcein acetoxymethylester for 2 h. After washing three times, the cells were cultured in the presence or absence of SJA (416 μg/ml to 832 μg/ml) for 3 h. Cellular fluorescence intensities of calcein were analyzed by flow Cytometry. Data are means ± SD of triplicates of one representative experiment of three. , P < 0.05, Student’s t-test.
